Embarking on my career, I aspired to be a Certified Financial Analyst, but destiny had a unique plan. My journey began in the world of auditing, a stepping stone towards what would later ignite my passion.

In 2010, I found myself at Trueblaq Ltd, an experience that forever changed my trajectory. Guided by the remarkable and selfless founder, the late Big Kev, I exceeded expectations in the realm of financial accounting. However, Kev envisioned a path beyond numbers for me. He nudged me towards the procurement department, an eye-opener to a world brimming with opportunities.

Within this shift, my dormant entrepreneurial spirit awoke. Big Kev wasn’t just a boss; he was a mentor challenging me to explore beyond my comfort zone. He believed in my potential to make a difference beyond the confines of accounting.

As fate would have it, I fell in love with event photography during my time at Trueblaq. Big Kev, always supportive, equipped me with a camera and became my first portfolio reviewer. In 2015, I took the plunge into photography full-time, with Trueblaq as my inaugural client.

My journey has been a tapestry of joy and fulfilment, weaving tales through the lens. Capturing the journeys of music industry giants like Morgan Heritage and Tiwa Savage during their performances in Kenya was a thrilling chapter. Collaborating with Aga Khan University, I produced “The Price of Power,” a documentary shedding light on the environmental impact of geothermal power production.

My work has graced magazines and exhibitions, including a significant showcase for the conservation of the Mt. Kenya ecosystem. Presently, I traverse the globe, documenting my experiences and creating art. My hope is to inspire and unlock the potential in others, much like Big Kev did for me.

Everyone deserves a chance to shine, and it’s my mission to nurture and challenge individuals to pursue their dreams.
