This individual’s friends tease them for their obsession with capturing the perfect shot of these gentle giants. They’ll click the same shot a hundred times, and won’t let the guide move the vehicle an inch until they’ve captured every angle possible.
In 2018, during a game drive in Amboseli, with only a 64GB memory card in hand, they encountered a group of 15 elephants on their way to a waterhole. The guide knew that if they rushed to the lake with the sunrise, they could witness a breathtaking sight of over 100 elephants at once. The individual kept shooting ignoring the guide, second time the tour guide was like can we go, the individual was like give me a second. The guide suggested they need to get to the lake and wait for the sun to reflect off the water for a perfect shot.
As the elephants sauntered by, the individual kept clicking away until the herd disappeared into the distance. They rushed to the lake and began to shoot again, only to realize they had only 50 shots left on their memory card. With more than three hours of the game drive left, they were forced to watch as others captured the breathtaking moments.
